The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has instructed staff working in educational institutions to comply with the Cybersecurity Ordinance, 2025.
The directive was issued on Wednesday (22 October) through an official order signed by the Directorate’s Assistant Director, Khalid Hossain.
The letter stated that in government institutions, the “Guidelines for Use of Social Media in Government Institutions, 2019 (Revised Edition)” and the “Cybersecurity Ordinance, 2025,” which covers ensuring cybersecurity, detecting, preventing, suppressing, and adjudicating cybercrimes, are applicable.
Violation of these guidelines and ordinance constitutes a breach of conduct rules and, in many cases, may be considered harmful to national security and punishable under the law.
All departments under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, including teachers, officials, staff, and students working in educational institutions, are requested to strictly follow the guidelines and the ordinance.
